Bo knows the Big Red

The latest out of the Cornhusker state this afternoon is that current LSU Defensive Coordinator Bo Pelini will be named the Head Coach of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Hopefully this works out for the Huskers and I have confidence that it will. Get ready for a packed spring game and a 2008 season that Husker Nation will start looking forward to today.

-Pelini is a firey-fourty-year-old. What more can you ask for. Nothing like a middle aged man who wants to crash heads with someone who is wearing a helmet when he is not. I wonder what is coaching staff will look like. Hopefully they are young, firey son of a guns too.

-He wore this gray crew neck sweatshirt when he was here as defensive coordinator in 2003. He still wears a crewneck with LSU. I hope all 85,000 in Lincoln show up every Saturday wearing a Gray crewneck sweatshirt and khaki pants. And I hope they come willing to drop and F bomb or two. Because that will complete the entire package.

-I cant wait to hear what Dr. Tom has to say at the press conference. He likes to work on the weekends. He fired Bill on a Saturday and hired Bo on a Sunday afternoon. Which brings me to more thoughts.

-If there were three songs that defined this search they would be:
Working for the Weekend by Loverboy--For the reasons stated above.
Watching Airplanes by Gary Allan--Because the Nebraska media had this fascination of tracking airplanes like childern track Santa. Watching Tom fly across america looking for the next coach.
And of course....
Callin' Baton Rouge by Garth Brooks--That one is self explanatory.
