If either the Toppers or take the Lady Toppers bow out early in next weekend's Sun Belt Conference Tournament, don't blame Darrin Horn or Mary Taylor Cowles, Crystal Kelly or Courtney Lee. Don't blame bad free throw shooting or turnovers (although easy to do with the Lady Toppers.)
Blame the Alumni Association.
Those with degrees from WKU apparently didn't leave with common sense or are they superstitious.
So when the Toppers lose before reaching the championship or god forbid the semi-finals add the alumni into company with the Black Cat, the Billy Goat, and the Bambino.
We don't even need the cover of Sports Illustrated, all we need are a few over-confident old folks.
These folks have pep-rallies planned for games that aren't even guaranteed. Do they realize they are planning in the most fragile month to plan for games that may not exist. Yes its March. Lets not get a hold of ourselves.
Get rid of the plans, keep them in a file folder and whip them out after the Tops have secured a place in the next round.
