A week and a half to Mobile

I know I still I have a week and a half before tip-off of the Sun Belt Tournament in Mobile, but it's never too early to start talking about the future. Kind of like the Royals, it's never too early to start talking about their pennant chances next year. And I mean 2009.

Anyways I've become a huge fan of Sam Mellinger's Baseball blog over at Kansascity.com. He's doing a great job of blogging while he covers Spring Training in Arizona. And as we get closer to the Mobile trip I'll be writing about the preparation.

The Toppers are currently in route or have arrived in Miami, however the power outage that took place in South Florida may have altered Western's plans or not to make it South Florida, where Darrin Horn jokingly said yesterday they were going to go clubbing on South Beach and Dwayne Wade was going to throw a house party. And yes Darrin deserves to name drop with Dwayne. Horn was an assistant coach at Marquette white Wade played there.

Nonetheless, we'll be having a good time of our own in Mobile after the Geo carries two men with an average height of six-foot, five-inches. Size won't be an issue. We plan on getting there late on Friday night, should allow us a little time to set up camp and settle into our accommodations at a disclosed location somewhere in Mobile.

If you've been to Mobile or know people that have been and know good spots to grab some grub or hangout, let me know. I'm really not feeling like driving down there to eat at chain joints.
