MOBILE, Ala. — Finally. We're settled.
If this is a preview of the days to come, it's bound to be madness.
Herald Headquarters are pretty well set up. The people above us last night weren't the quietest. But good thing we live in dorms and are used to unwanted noise.
But back to how we got here
We'll start with the unnecessary trip NORTH on I-65 after lunch, when we really should have been headed south.
We finally got turned back around and headed the right direction, got to Birmingham where we experienced some big city traffic and then the worse and the unexpected.
Got the call from Luke, he and Nathan were broken down on the side of the road. We pulled over as well, and hung out, and hung out, and hung out, and hung out. Finally we were back on the road with about four hours of traveling to go.
We didn't find it to be much of a problem to fit everything into my car, except for the people. It was a tight squeeze and every stop, everyone complained about their knees.
What we didn't complain about were the great town names in Alabama. For example, just a few: Pine Apple, Arkadelphia, you get the point.
After a good meal at IHOP we checked into the hotel. I am actually finishing this on Saturday. Most because exhaustion hit quickly. Right now college gameday is on. Always gets me in the mood for basketball. Will update from the Mitchell Center in a few hours.
