MOBILE, Ala. — I'm sitting here, taking in a little down time before we head over to the Mitchell Center for round two. We decided rather than sitting at the hotel for a while, we'd go over and catch a majority of the first game of the session.
After waking up about noon, we headed over to Raising Cane's Chicken Tenders. I know it is a chain, but if you're ever in a town with one of these fine eating establishments I would highly recommend it.
Following lunch it was time for a trip over to the USS Alabama. It was a huge battleship that offered plenty of exploration options. We went through a lot of rooms and found a lot of knicks and crannys. Overall, very interesting stuff.
I didn't have a chance to follow the South Alabama-New Orleans game this afternoon but apparently UNO had USA up against the ropes and just couldn't close the deal. Tough break for the Privateers.
Tonight should be interesting, Western has to avoid foul trouble and needs to make runs happen. Those two things take place and WKU should be fine. Don't look for WKU to really get a comfortable lead until the five or six-minute mark in the second half.
I'll try to update again later tonight/early tomorrow morning. I don't expect us to get back to the hotel before two or so in the morning tonight. I like nights like these, nights when you're in the arena until the wee hours of the morning just worrying about basketball. It's a rough life.
Until then, enjoy the game. Goodnight Kansas.
