Headed for Lincoln

Tomorrow starts the last part of the ride of covering the Volleyball team at Western. What a season it has been. I remember the first time I walked into coach Travis Hudson's office to introduce myself and the stories that have emerged over the last four months.

Tomorrow evening I board a plane (the fifth in last two weeks) for Kansas City. We stay in KC thurs night before heading up to Lincoln on Friday morning. It is still surreal that I am heading to Lincoln to cover the Hilltoppers. Nebraska is so much a part of me and it still hasn't hit me I am going to be admist the scarlet and cream covering Western. It will be a weird feeling, no doubt about it but one I hope to enjoy to the fullest.

There is no question that I will get goosebumps at some point through the weekend. I always try to keep in the back of my mind to act like I've been in a situation before and not to be star struck. I won't be star struck but there will definatley be a rush at somepoint throughout the weekend.

I hope to update periodically from Lincoln and keep you posted on my happenings. And then a week from tonight the Huskers come here for Basketball. Should be quite a week!
