-Speaking of scheduling, Darrin Horn has always spoke about the challenging non-conference schedule he wants. He has often spoke about the elite programs he wants on the schedule. The next possible elite program? Well that would be Kansas. Former Hilltopper Kurtis Townsend is an assistant on Bill Self's staff, and while Horn has never said either way, I believe it would be beneficial for both programs to have the game on the schedule.
They're two programs rich with history, they have enjoyed years of post-season play. And while Kansas probably won't be looking to come to Diddle, there would be nothing wrong to play on a Neutral floor in St. Louis with a another pair of teams that each come from the east and west of the Mississippi River.
Kansas has often played mid-majors as well as big-name programs and WKU is somewhere in the middle. If the opportunity comes I would love to ask Horn if there has ever been contact made with the boys in Lawrence.
