1:25: I heard Chris Allen on WBKO call this the worst ice storm in the last 15 years. How ironic that it comes the day of the biggest game in 15 years at Diddle Arena. This is really going to test the fans. How fair-weathered are they? How bad do they want to see the third-hottest team in the country? Only time will tell.
10:44 a.m.: I'm not sure how I ended up doing this one an hour after the last one but this just in from the Topper Doppler 4000 Super Radar: It's icy out there. Sounds like traffic is bad around Bowling Green, and the sidewalks are slippery on campus. Professor's are making classes optional. Let's hope fans don't look at tonight's game as an optional one. While it may be icy outside, it will still be whitey inside. Or something like that. This really is a bummer. Not that we hoped for weather that was 70 and sunny, but these conditions really put a damper on things.
Luckily South Alabama is already in Bowling Green. They're probably at some hotel, just messing around, playing video games or something.
I have to go to class in a little while, but Im sure Ill update later.
9:41 a.m.: Just walked back from Cherry Hall on a complete sheet of ice around campus. Apparently salt was cut from the budget too. Im beginning to really feel the anticipation for tonight's game. There isn't quite the buzz on campus I thought there would be, but I also think people are cold and just want to get into their white and head on over to the arena later this afternoon. Ill update in a few!
