The Eve of the Big One

There are still those doing last minute shopping, families have gathered. Some Im sure have gone to church services tonight. Drink some more egg-nog boys, tomorrow is a big day!

You mean it's not December 24?

Are you kidding?

Than what is tomorrow?

Oh, that's right. Grandma and Grandpa Horn are putting their son in an all-white ensemble and sending him out there to prove he can win a big one. Go get 'em little Darrin.

Pull out your white shirts, pants, jackets, thongs, diapers, whatever you wear to Diddle Arena on a Thursday night and god forbid don't spill Ketchup before the game because that will ruin things.

What won't be white tomorrow night? The seats for one thing, but thankfully its a sellout, so we wont see any empty red seats.

This truly is perhaps the biggest game at Diddle in the last 15 years. Yes that would take us back to a time in the early 90's when Nebraska Football was good, gas was cheap, and Darrin Horn still parted his hair the same way.

I can't wait for tomorrow. Ill get out of class at 12:30 and then pace back and fourth for a few hours until finally packing my things and heading for the arena. Oh boy, this is going to be exciting.

So get the kids to bed early tonight. Between school and the big game, tomorrow is a big day. Big enough that you write a good-luck note on little Darrin's napkin when you pack his lunch pail. Something like this:

"Darrin, Good luck today, we know you can do it. And even if you fail, you're still better off than the Men's soccer team." Sounds like enough motivation for me.

Just a side note. I may live blog all day tomorrow just so you can see what I'm going through before a big game like this, because its sure to be exciting!
