So now without further hesitation we present the Top 10 moments of Erin's Andrew:
#10: My first day without baseball, I remember saying something to this effect
"Today was my first day without major league baseball. I had a case of the shakes, kind of a nervous breakdown this morning from thinking about not having baseball in my life today. But things are better today. Except for the NBA started. --->Just a reminder to Referees that all wagers and bets must be placed at least one hour before tip-off."
#9: The Red Sox Bullpen Jam Session during the world series
"-Speaking of music, there is nothing more soothing than the BoSox Bullpen Percussion Ensemble. And thanks to Fox placing microphones in every knick, cranny and Fenway Urinal we can take all the sounds in. Keep going boys. What will they bang on at Coors?"
#8: From the same evening I challenged all readers to the Rockies roster that is a spelling bee.
"And I leave you with this, when it comes time for the Scripps Spelling Bee, the judges should look no further than the Rockies' roster for a list of good words. Spilborghs, Tulowitzki, Torrealba, Iannetta, Fogg would even be confusing with that extra "g."
#7: The overall blogging season. It was a good time, and because I kind of ran out of Moments here but pick them back up on 6.
#6 The Return of the Powder Blues to the Royals in 2008. That makes you want to go to the ballpark just alone.
#5 The Trip to Denver to cover the Sun Belt Tournament. Would have made more of a push but I had to go with Cody.
#4 The Trip to Lincoln to cover the NCAA Tournament. Great trip for us, Bad trip for the team. Fun, nonetheless.
#3 Bo Pelini is hired as the head coach of Nebraska. Enough said.
#2 The Royals Hiring of Rusty Kuntz. This made a good run for first place but in the end the Kuntz-ster came up Dry. HAHA.
"Mark Teahen: "Hey John, you're slow how'd you get to second base?"
John Buck: "Rusty Kuntz got me to second base."
Mark Teahen would then give that shit-eating grin and giggle. As would the rest of the dugout, and then some latin player like Jorge De La Rosa would let this out.
"Zach Grienke's mom likes Rusty Kuntz." Which would send Zach right back to the looney-bin.
Can't he be Russ or something. I mean c'mon, Rusty Kuntz? Really?"
#1: A legend Returns. Tom Osborne has nothing dirty about his name. But he is all about class and restoring the order. That is why number one is the return of Tom Osborne to Lincoln.
"Its good to have Tom Osborne back, but better to see Steve Pederson go. Every day that passes there are new reports about how bad the athletic department had become under his leadership. Husker Nation has to be patient though. As much as Id like to see Callahan staying, I dont forsee it happening. Hellow Bo!
There it is folks, the Top 10 moments of the Blogging season. I can't wait for 20081
