I looked today and couldn't believe that I hadn't updated this bad boy since April 13th. To be honest really not much has happened. I mean the Royals fell out of first place and struggled there for a bit but are now in Texas so things should get better tonight.
-The fact of the matter is that the Royals are only 3.5 games back at the end of April. This is somewhat of a feat in itself. We have seen them play pretty decent ball after the second half of May the last couple years. If they can survive the next two weeks or so then I'm liking their chances. I mean the Boys in Blue are currently in the race and that is exciting.
-I haven't had a good opportunity to update and say that I have personally found a new favorite blog, it's Sam Mellinger's Ball Star blog on Kansascity.com. Sam does a great job with interviews, links and insight and has been doing it since spring training began. That's a pretty tall task to keep a blog going and be the national baseball writer for one of the top sports sections in the nation.
-I can't wait to get back to Kauffman Stadium in a few weeks. I have seen it on TV multiple times this season and read how well the renovations are going. I am really anxious to see the new Crown-Vision scoreboard and all it has to offer. I will be sure to post after that first visit out there.
