Nothing like waking up on a Sunday morning to find out you have to be at Diddle Arena for a 2 pm press conference.
But there I was listening to Ken McDonald speak about his opportunity as the next head coach at WKU. The difference between Horn and McDonald is night and day. And I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing, but they're definitely different.
McDonald turned the Press Conference into an Oprah show when he took questions from the Audience. Most of the questions were just reasons why the fans are the fans and the media is the media. The Questions were pretty brutal at times.
Sunday brought a week-long search to an end, and still no Bob Knight. That's perhaps the biggest disappointment as I sit here right now is that Bob wasn't going to be able to put on another Red Sweater.
Best of luck to Ken as he transitions into WKU's coach.
On a side note, BJ Frazier and Jeremy Evans not present at the conference, however according to another teammate they were both out of town and were returning on Sunday and couldn't make it back in time.
