I sure wish I was in San Antonio right now for the Final Four. Turning on Gameday this morning to see they folks on the Riverwalk reminded me what a great place it is. I'll never forget being down on the Riverwalk on the Friday night prior to the 1998 Big 12 Football Championship and one side of the river chanted, "HUSKER" while the other side of the river chanted, "POWER."
The most intriguing matchup of the night is a no-brainer in Kansas and North Carolina. However I truly believe that North Carolina opens this game up in the second half. Kansas' road to the Final Four was the easiest of the four teams and will realize what a challenge the Tar Heels are tonight.
Meeting the Tar Heels on Monday night will be UCLA. Darren Collison has to play more solid than he did against WKU though. Collison only had one field goal, and scored just four points in the Bruins' ten-point victory over the Toppers.
But what I'm most looking forward to on Monday night is "One Shining Moment." WKU is sure to be all over it, considering they provided moment after moment in those magical two weeks. The most shining was Ty Rogers' buzzer-beating shot over Drake.
Still no news on the coaching search front. One source has said we will know on Sunday afternoon, but that is still yet to be confirmed by any WKU officials.
Well I'm off to watch some great College Basketball tonight.
